" ...great show
........didn't hear better swamp roots music this summer...."
OOR magazine
The trio of frontman Hans de Vries (aka Homesick) plays, in a virtuoso way, traditional zydeco, blues and suprisingly attractive sounding sideways. Very special are their versions of the classics "A Change Is Gonna Come" (Sam Cooke) and "It's A Man's World" (James Brown) sung by the percussionplayer Alex Siegers (Nancy Works On Payday) brought back to their bare essentials.
WILLEM JONGENEELENThe reputation Hans de Vries (Homesick) built up over the years, can't be ignored by anyone loving roots music. It was inevitable that this would eventually lead to an exciting live-recording.
Great music during long trips by car, according to the booklet, but these zydeco variations with their three voice harmonies can make the curtains in your livingroom dance just as merrily. A tribute to the many Bon Ton Clubs where these men have ever played. With this record the party can go on for ever!
